The path leading down to the actual mine entrance is heavily fortified by groups of goblin Loyalists.
Players can choose to cast the Disillusionment charm to slip past the patrols quietly or engage the guards in open combat. Sneaking along the eastern ledge allows you to bypass several sentries if you wait for them to turn away. Ultimately, eliminating or evading these initial threats is necessary to access the interior cavern structure safely.
Navigating the Cavern and Defeating Enemies
Once inside the Overlook Mine, follow the winding trail toward the left while avoiding steep drops and leaps. You will quickly encounter larger groups of goblin warriors alongside aggressive spiders hiding in the shadows. Utilize forceful spells like Confringo and Diffindo to pierce their shields and manage the battlefield effectively.
After clearing the first major room of combatants, look for a heavy crate nearby. Use Accio and Levioso to position the box against the high ledge so you can climb up to the next area. Repairing a broken wooden bridge with Reparo will then grant access to the deepest chambers of the mine.
Solving the Chamber Rune Puzzle
The journey concludes at a massive sealed doorway marked by mystical runes scrawled across the surrounding walls. To unlock this barrier, you must quickly strike three hidden rune symbols with your basic wand cast. Two of these targets are obscured by thick spider webs that must first be burned away using Incendio.
